PROGRAMME

1:30 DOORS OPEN

2:00 BLANK PAGE: Spring / Summer 2022

Paper has become powerful symbol and inspiration. While starting a blank page during the Covid-19 lockdown, we all grasped how we have to rethink everything from scratch, remodelling society and reconstructing fashion. The aspects of paper are akin to textiles and guide us to new qualities that are able to breathe and simply be. These exciting possibilities will deliver brand new forms of tactility that can be both neat and crisp, or wild & deconstructed. To design our future from a world of hope.

3:00 TEA BREAK

3:30 THE FUTURE OF LUXURY: Home & Lifestyle 2025

In the post-corona landscape, everything will change, starting with the pace at which we live. Our goal will not be to stop consuming beautiful things and products — our aim should be to make them sustainable and thoughtful, corresponding to the real needs of the moment, foregoing waste and avoiding the deluge of useless items. We will craft better solutions for our essential needs, and conscious clients will make more precise choices. Thus people will embrace trees and cherish plants, consuming less of everything while collecting more of the one thing they are most fascinated by. They will construct smaller but better homes, using smart storage to undo clutter; and they will dress with new codes of conduct, elevating the casual and creative. Fashion itself will make a comeback, with open source allowing consumers to self-make their treasures, from clothing to cars to culinary creations. Ultimately society will become more creative, taking things into its own hands, when the Age of the Amateur has finally arrived.
